I weigh 116lbs and I'm trying to get to 130lbs. How many times a day should I eat to get a healthy weight?

I would say about six meals per day.  Remember you have to take in more calories than you burn.

It's not so much how often you eat, as what you ate.

Frequency of meals can play a role though.

For example, if eating healthy, small portions regularly keeps you energized and feeling fuller, this may be more desirable than eating one or two meals a day, but overeating because you are so hungry.

I think a combination of healthy eating, exercise and perseverance are your best shot at reaching your target weight.

There's apps you can get on your phone to count your daily calorie intake.

Usually you just put how much you weigh and it tells you how many calories you need, and you put in everything you eat.

Most important question: what is your height?

Until we know that, it is hazardous to tell you that you can eat 4 or 6 meals..by the way, why don't you build those extra lbs with muscle?
