I'm 14 and I haven't started my period yet. I have had discharge for about 2 1/2 years now and I gained 15 pounds this year! Does it sound like I will get my period soon? And also, will that green tea and dairy thing help me get mine faster?

Talk to your mom and see when hers started. Remember, every girl is different so you can't base this on your friends. You can get a general timeline from any sisters you might have and your mom.

A good sign you're getting close to the time when your first period will arrive is if you notice a discharge coming from your vagina. It might be thin and slightly sticky or thick and gooey, and can be clear to white or off-white in color. Usually, this happens about 6 months before you get your first period.

I don't think doctors worry about a girl not starting their period unless they are above sixteen.  Enjoy this time with no back pain, agonising womb pain, sanitary pads, tampons, acne, and sore breasts, you'll have plenty of years of them ahead of you.
