Have 2 people with you. Sit on the ground/floor and spread yur legs out in front of you.have one person keep your leg on the floor and have the other person bring it up all the way over your head. Stay and count to 15 seconds{1 mississippi,2 mississippi} and if you move around a lot you have to try 30 seconds. If that does'nt work start over. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T PUSH YOURSELF TO HARD!!!!!FLEXIBILITY IS NOT NATURAL, WORK YOUR WAY UP FOR YOUR FLEXIBILITY!
Splits are pretty hard to do and require a lot of practice and body flexibility. The most easiest way to master the split technique is to get on your knees. Pull a leg out in front of your body and slide down into a split. Continue until it hurts. Your arms must be up in a straight "T". Hold yourself in this position for thirty seconds and practice it over and over again until you master it. See the link below for more details:

Sit in the butterfly position and move your legs like a butterfly's wings and have two people push your legs to the ground
You can do a move called the clock keep one leg in front of you and move the other in a cicle
Sorry but sitting in the butterfly position and having two people push your legs down will be very painful and dangerous, shouldn't be recommended. Do a lot of stretching daily and measure your progress.
Ummmmm... Ok sitting doing the butterfly I hope that work but how many times do I have to do that though?
