Premature baby weigh in under five pounds
It depends on how premature the baby is. A baby born earlier than 30 weeks is going to be very small, 2 1/2 lbs or less. After 30 weeks, a preemie can weigh from 3 to 5 lbs depending on how far along the pregnancy has progressed. 38 weeks is considered full term.
The normal baby weighs around 5 to 10 pounds. And a premature weighs below 5 pounds.
My daughter is 37 weeks and her baby is 5ib 6oz from the ultrasound. Does this mean the baby can have any health problems. But my daughter is a very small person herself. Next weekly visit if the baby has not grown any they will induce labor. Is that normal
That depends on how far along the mother was, and how well the baby did. My cousin had two babies both premature. One weight 4lbs and 5 oz, and the other weighed 6lbs even. The 6 pounder was born premature, but closer to his due date then his sister who was the 4 pounder.
At least 2-3 pounds
Different, my cousin was only 23 weeks and
Weighed 1 pound 8 ounces
Weighed 1 pound 8 ounces
My son was born at 33 weeks. He weighed 5 pounds 8 oz. He was fine besides having sleep apnea (a condition where babies forget to breathe in their sleep, it is very common with premature babies). He slept with an apnea monitor for about a month and he hasn't had any problems since. He'll be one in 2 weeks.
