Depends on the age of the puppy. Females can go into heat at 6 mo. Old. If the dog acts normal, has pink gums, eats and drinks, is playful, just keep an eye on her. If the drainage smells bad take her to the vet. Monitor her temperature the normal temp for dogs is 100-102.If she is in heat you should know that dogs can be bred if they are inside a chain link fence. Its not easy, BUT IT CAN BE DONE!!
