In brain aneurysm, walls of the cerebral artery or vein become week leading to localized ballooning or dilation of blood vessel. Most usual place of brain aneurysm is Circle of Willis. Aneurysm can be due to high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, congenital defects and head trauma.
Treatment of brain aneurysm is by surgery which can be surgical clipping and endovascular coiling. Recovering time of endovascular coiling is 1-2 months but surgical clipping can take 6 months to one year.
Recurrence of brain aneurysm is more common in endovascular coiling than surgical clopping. It requires annual check up to know the status of aneurysm. So, it is possible that your problem of aneurysm has started to reoccur. It will be good to see your neurosurgeon to confirm the diagnosis.
