It takes Xanax or vicodin at least 48 to 72 hours to leave your body and yes, if they happen to find traces of a prescription narcotic in your blood after you give birth, they may call family and children services, but that does not necessarily mean your baby will be taken from you, it just means they will investigate to make sure your child is not in any danger and that you are not an avid drug user and will keep your child in a proper environment.
