A condition in which male foreskin is not fully retracted from the head of the penis in uncircumcised males is called phimosis. It does not require treatment in children as it is usually self treated. But sometimes require treatment. One way of treatment is to apply topical steroids like clobetasole and betamethasone. But most effective method is circumcision. Phimosis does not reoccur after proper circumcision, but can be re circumcised if reoccur. Now use of steroids is not recommended because of systemic absorption.
