Hi I have had hip bursitis for about 3 years now and when mine flares up it normally lasts around 2-3 days and then eases off but I do have to limit my mobility..and this is difficult as I am only 19...A good treatment which I have is steroid injections from the doctors which they inject into the joint.This eases mine for about 2 months before it comes back.Hope this helps
