Triple Cs refer to a drug that comes most often in over the counter cough syrups, DMX, which is short for dextroemethorphan. It is used for a cheap and easy high for some young people and it is addicting. There are long-term side effects and short-term effects to taking this drug either as recommended, and more serious effects when it abused and not taken as directed.

A normal dose can cause a body rash, nausea, and drowsiness. The person taking it can experience difficulty breathing, dizziness, and hallucinations. When the drug is taken at higher levels than recommended the effects can be even more pronounced and severe. There are many reports out that document people having vivid hallucinations, dilated pupils, sweating, fever, hypertension, and diarrhea.

Shallow breathing, disassociation, bruxia, and urinary retention are also side effects that have been reported. Long-term effects can include serious damage to the brain as well as internal organ damage. This is not a drug to be played with yet many people abuse this drug since almost anyone of any age can get it at their local drug store. But thanks to recognition of a problem by the federal and state authorities, many states are looking much more closely at regulating and restricting the sale of cough syrups and other medicines that contain drugs that can be potentially dangerous when abused.

Never take a drug without the direction of a doctor, and never abuse over the counter medicines. It can lead to long-term problems including death. If you think you have a problem abusing drugs, you most likely do have a problem and you should seek medical attention as soon as possible. Using and abusing over the counter or prescription drugs can have deadly effects, know the dangers and don't risk your life for a cheap high.

Triple cs are really bad I'm not here tell you to stop doin them or nothing like that but I used to do them EVERYDAY literaly an I would take 34 at a time for two years straight. I have overdosed on coricidin cough & cold SIX times the las time I overdosed on the way to the hospital I thought I was goin to die I felt like my heart was about to EXPLODE, my fingertips were cold an numb, I could hardly breath then I strated thinking what if I died right then an there at that moment what would it feel like to die, where would I go HEAVEN or hell, who would go to my funeral an would I be remembered in 5 years .triple cs cause long term and short term side effects. Tiple cs at high doses (25 pills or more) will cause strong HALLUCINATIONS an when you lay on your bed with your eyes closed it feels like your flying in space. My last tie I took triple cs I took 36 it felt like I was in another world I tripped bad for 8 hours an I kept asking my cousin over an over if I was DEAD. The fact is that its not worth losing your life, think about how much your family an friends would miss you if they found you dead an think about if your ready to leave this world yet. EVERYTIME you take triple cs its playing with your life cause it a 50/50 chance. Well good luck anyone who takes them you'll need it.

They make your brain bleed if you do them to often, uhh..they're highly addictive, and your body gets used to them fast, which makes you take more, which leads to overdose...they leave sores on your arms [ew I had one..it's disgusting.]...they can lead to impaired vision...hallucinations [if you take enough of them and frequently]..you go into withdrawls...they're just all bad.

I'm only 17 and last week I should have gone to the hospital for an overdose... I only took 16 CCC but had been taking them like candy that week (and two good highs from earlier that day). I snuck out of my house to go over to a friends that I blaze with regularly.. After taking them I smoked about 4-5 g of exo (just good weed) after the CCC started to kick in my heart rate elevated dramatically and out of fear my "friend" forced me to leave telling me to go home and call an ambulance that I was having a heart attack. I stayed up for 8 hours while high from 11:00 till 7:00 in pain around the house because of heart attack and extreme anxiety attack SYMPTOMS (I was never diagnosed with an ailment)... My heart rate (taken digitally) read 183 (over 3 beats per second) at rest... Far past cardiac arrest, my body parts were numb and my brain was far past fried... My temperature was through the roof but I wasn't in the mental state to be able to check it. My pounding heart could be not only seen through my chest but heard in a quiet room.. I had to go get my grandma whom I live with because still to this day I believe I was under cardiac arrest. She didn't take me to the hospital because I lied to her and told her I had taken adderall because I was just trying to be everything she wanted me to be and that would enhance my focus. She was worried that if she took me to the hospital I would lose my scholarships. I remember trying to fall asleep to make my high go away and get past this but I was too scared... When I attempted to lay down I would stop breathing and I felt 100% sure that something horribly horribly wrong was about to happen to me. I understand there was very apparent pain because I would find myself grabbing my chest as if being stabbed, but I felt nothing.. Nevertheless I found myself repeatedly graving at my pounding chest as if I were in pain but did not know.. When I closed my eyes my breathing would slow (while my heart raced begging for oxygen) to a point where I would have to force myself to stay conscious. I felt like I was in a dream but my actions were real and the choices and mistakes I was performing were real. In a dream you know how you fade in and out of it... You will remember making some choices in your dream but you don't really know how you got to where you are? That is a lot like how it felt... I am a junior in high school with all but two college classes... I still suffer from an abnormal heart beat (not diagnosed but I find myself with a racing heart when I am motionless) and find my speech somewhat slurred from time to time nothing anyone else could notice... My grandma said she watched me die in her arms that night. I woke up delirious in a literal POOL of sweat and even after passing out and waking up my heart rate was at 147... The heart at rest is normally at 60... I remind you I had just woken up.

It is true triple c's are bad I used to take them and now I twitch a lot when I'm sleeping and I ended up with a irregular heartbeat :/

Can triple c's cause mental heath issues? I did triple c's for almost 2 years straight. I was crazy addicted and took up to about 45 or more. I've quit now for months, but I feel like something is wrong with me. The thing I want to know is, if doing triple c's in the past has anything to do with mental health issues. It feels like my anger is out of control, I'm paranoid, I feel like I have depression, anxiety, or something I don't even know? Can someone tell me if triple c's can do anything like that to your mental health

Ive been taking triple c's for like a month now and ive had no side effects or sores on my arms or nothing. But I think that if I keep taking them at the rate that I am then something will eventually happen to me, and I don't want to find out what will. So yeah I think I'm just going to stick to the reefer for now.

Dude the reason you feel paranoid and angry, is because youve built up a tolerance for the drug, or pill, or chemical you were using, and once you stop using that drug for awhile, your body was so used to you taking that chemical on a regular bases that regular body needs it to function, so yeah, you paranoia and ager is because of your chemical abuse.

One of my friends uses guzzle robotussin and would get sick afterwards which has destroyed the lining of his stomach and throat and now he has a stomach ulcer. So then he decided to swich to the triple c's which correct me if I'm wrong, are the cough cold cordicidin pills and he was taking them for a while. He now has skin sores kind of like scabs on his arms and stuff and it is really gross looking. My advice is to stop doing those things it could kill you. I am serious - they put it on the news a few years ago when everyone was doing it. Look it up!

I stopped after having been on 24 triple C's then smoking a blunt I tripped 2 hard so now I feel like my body is craving the high from them and when I sleep I see..its like looking into a light bulb for a long time like little black bubbles just floating around but only in the dark

I took triple c's all the time once I took up to 16 & I felt good , but the last time I took them I only took 8 & I smoked a blunt & I thought I was having a heart attack , but really I was having an anxiety attack & now I have them all the time , & plus they destroy your liver & there no good .

I used to take CCCs every single day. I would only take like 8, sometimes a few more a few hours later. After awhile i started taking Benadryl on top of them though.

At first only like 100mg to 150mg but then I would take 250mg on top of the 8 CCCs regularly. Thankfully, I never had any bad trips or any issues with overdosing but I'm not saying that you should do it.

They're really addictive. All of my friends were asking me to stop taking them but I refused, saying it wasn't a problem to the point where they just always assumed I was high. I would always have pills and if I didn't I would go and steal more.

Don't do them. They're bad for you and I probably did a lot of damage to my liver that I don't know about. Just smoke weed or drink occasionally.

Literly they need to keep this behind the counters. My friends are being f*****d over big time because of the trip not the high. My friend had to go to rehab and he broke out and came back with 3 boxs of family dollar cough and cold witch is a higher dose of dex and the antaimerina witch can cause EXTREME poisoning.I live in michigan and is it a law that they have to be behind a counter anyways and you cannot buy them if your a minor. Stupid. Like 70% of my school is on or have done them and tripped BALL'S

Lasdt years graduation I took 50 tripple cas 2 hits of acid and 2 hits ox ex I don't know how I'm still alive people say I have to be an angel or something to god because that would have deff killed me we had an epiffany that night too that didnt help uis at all I sdtill take over 30 cccs to trip balls theres no greater feeling but I almost died from it believe me its insane!!

Coricidin Cough and Cold Tablets can cause internal problems as well as external problems. Taking many pills chronically can cause liver damage, the anti-histamine in those pills make your heart race. I use to do them and re-dose them. My first time with CCCs is taking 32 pills. All drugs have different affects with people within the brain and all drugs are poisonous. The high off the pills is horrible why would you want to trip and have a fever. The body at temperatures above normal levels will result in Brain Damage. Those pills literally cook your insides by having mercury and taking 8+ will cause heavy metal poisoning. I know quitting is hard but if your going to do drugs do drugs that won't cause drastic damage. Remember ask yourself, "Are you taking care of ______[your name]?" I have tripped for so long that I actually have heart strains and I feel like I have no iron in my blood [iron anemia]. Every minute of every day I have this bothersome problem. CCCs not only change your brain chemistry but also the endocrine and integumentary system which makes your body worsen like if you were on 100 CCCs.

Triple C's are only bad if you take too many. If you take like 8 or 10 occasionally, then you will be perfectly fine. Now, occasionally does not mean everyday more like every month or so. And in between times, if you want to get high, just smoke some weed. It won't hurt you if you do it occasionally.
