If you're worrying that you have gained weight and want to cut back, I know how you feel. Back in the spring, I was struggling to finish my daily run and found some of my favorite baggy t-shirts weren't so baggy anymore. I decided to take action, because no-one else can do this for you. It's about taking responsibility for yourself and this is a good thing.
One thing I'd suggest though is not to get so fixated on losing part of your belly everyday. Safe weight loss is a gradual process, and you should think of it in terms of weeks and months, not days. Of course, good diet and exercise is something we should focus on each day, but allow yourself time to lose weight. In my case, I weighed myself after a run which I found more gruelling that in the past. I found I weighed 160lbs, which is quite heavy for me. I put this gain down to working from home, instead of my previous job in town, to which I cycled each day. I'd also gotten too fond of cheese, eating it with meals once or twice a day, every week.
So, I set myself a goal to lose a stone in weight over the course of the summer. I took longer runs and cut right back on dairy products. I switched to oatmeal for breakfast instead of toast and preserves, and used vegetable oil for frying instead of regular oil. If I fancy a snack, I just eat a slice of lightly buttered wholemeal bread.
I weighed myself once a month, and no more. Over the next 4 months or so, I lost around 20lbs, and now weigh just under 140lbs, and I feel great! I can now run 3 miles in 21 minutes, and not 24.5 minutes as was the case in the spring. And if I can do it, anyone can do it.
You don't have to starve to lose weight.Take control of what you eat, and if you need a few tips, this YouTube film is a good place to start.
