Due to my antibiotic use, I have developed a condition called Yellow Tongue. My doctor says it's harmless and temporary but failed to elaborate on how long this will last and how to treat it at home. Any suggestions?

Hi Corey! A home remedy for this, make a mixture of half hydrogen peroxide and half water, brush your tongue gently, then rinse your mouth well. Drink plenty of water...not Mountain Dew, but water to keep your tongue moist.

Hey, thanks. I've already started the water portion (I've had to cut back on everything but water due to working outside in the heat). I didn't know about the Hydrogen Peroxide, though.

Yep, hydrogen peroxide and water. I mostly drink water, if you don't like to, get some singles flavor packets to use, there's also carbonated water with no sugar (Wal-Mart) I call it water pop! Not a bad substitute for pop/soda.

Unfortunately you just gotta wait it out. When I was on a medication for my ear infections a few months ago, it caused me to have serious teeth staining. Once I was off it though, my teeth went right back to normal. Wish I could be more help!

Call your doctor and ask.
