I think I got my first period, but there were only a bit of brown blood. There was no more blood of any sort for the rest of the month. I haven't gotten it again. Is this normal?

Yes, it's quite normal. You could go a few months before you actually start with the regular monthly periods.

It can be normal for sure.  I would suggest you talk to your Mom and your doctor if you're concerned or for more education on what having your period involves.  (Are you old enough to be on this site?)

Yes, it's what they call "a show," it lets you know that you will soon be on your period.

Yes your body is getting ready to start having periods.  Pretty soon you'll have a regular period and perhaps some cramps to go along with it. Talk to your mother or the school nurse and they can go into more detail but you need to carry some pads with you in case this happens while you're at school or out with friends.  You may be irregular at first and this is not unusual, you'll soon get to know when to expect this each month.
