Hydrogen Peroxide.

Many uses, including disinfecting and cleaning. It can prevent an ear infection and is a really good soap scrum remover. It also is one of the only things that can remove blood stains successfully.

I had chronic ear-aches as a child, my mom would do that for me, it was really soothing, I do it now when I have one.

My mom used something like that, but I don't think it was the same thing. I remember she would warm it up with a spoon and match before she used it.

My grandma believed Listerine was a cure all....got the flu, gargle with Listerine, Got a bug bite, rub some Listerine in it, broke you leg, soak it in Listerine.....ok, that last one may have been a bit of an exaggeration, but not by much. :)

Coconut oil is my wonder home remedy. It has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. So it is great for bug bites, scrapes, heat rash. It makes a great light weight moisturizer or hair conditioner.
