Health and hygiene is of prime importance especially with kids in the house. You should ensure that they wash their hands properly, have a bath daily and eat and drink healthy things. Make it a part of their routine to be neat and clean.

Hygiene is really a matter of common sense .. Wash hands after going to the bathroom and before you eat, bath or shower every day or two, brush teeth at least twice a day ( and always before bed) , wash fruit and vegetables before eating, clean & disinfect surfaces of the household regularly...the list is endless

Prevention is the best medicine, and one of the most effective ways to protect your child from infection is to teach him or her from infancy the basic hygiene. Children should be taught to wash their hands often—especially before eating, after using the toilet, after spending time in a crowded public place, or after petting animals. Good hygiene is important for the pets, but it is equally important—perhaps more so—for your children. Pets’ cages and kennels should be kept clean, and some pets need regular grooming and bathing. How much close physical contact humans should have with animals also needs to be considered. Remember that for many animals their tongue is also their washcloth, which they use for all parts of their body. And while they are equipped to handle the germs that they ingest, children are not. Do not encourage your child to kiss an animal. Pets should also have their own feeding dishes and should not be allowed to lick plates used by humans. Yes, improved hygiene has meant that the children are much healthier and much happier.
