To above: Ask your physician for a strep test and what to take. Oftentimes sore throats are from a virus which antibiotics will not help.

Some antibiotics will work together others will work against each other.... And you can overdose on antibiotics. Also, antibiotics are specific... Meaning they are developed for use against certain bacteria, and wont have any effect on others. Best to consult your doctor first.

I'm on Levaquin and have been for a week for an upper respiratory infection.  My Dr. Told me to stay on this for 3 weeks.  Now I have a fever and a sore throat (everyone in the house has strepp right now).  Should I take both Levaquin and augmentin?
