I saw an answer to this question from 2 yrs ago that said no to abdominal swelling. My family is toxic mold survivors from the storms of 2004. Respiratory aka allergies. What happens when there is a bad allergy? Your face and neck can swell right? I have even experienced swelling so bad in my legs that I could not stand. I went to the hospital. The ER jumped on my situation thinking this was symptoms of congestive heart failure. After the enzyme test come back. I was told I was severely allergic to something. If TM can cause swelling in the 3 places I have mentioned, than Commin thought swelling can occur any where else. Try first get a "mold kit" from a hardware store (Home Depot is a better place to get the do it yourself kits). If anything pops up at all. Get the mold samples looked at professionally. Example my home was a 4br/2ba. It cost me $300.00 for the test. Make sure the testing lab uses the miro5 sampling method. It is the most accurate that won't put you in a bad debt situation. All of your employees need to see a "allergist" not a normal doctor. My normal doctor sent labs on me for mold. Found our the results were totally wrong. Went to allergies, boom got a heads up that I needed to get my family out of that home. You say you have standing water you are in the process of drying out? I hope no one is working in the building business as usual. Danger is still in the building. Close the building for one day. Do the do it your self test, and proceed as needed. If there is any sign of mold DO NOT PUT ANYONE UNDER ANY MORE EXPOSURE. No 2 people are the same. Some get sick some not, others could be in serious trouble. Clear the building of mold potential. ( Hint if it is mold, employees can transport mold spores to their personal vehicles and home....and will expose children, elderly, immune problems, other already sickly people. These people are at a high risk of medical problems. If anyone is pregnant working there GET THEM OUT NOW. This will effect the MOTHER & CHILD.

When I am exposed to mold I have abdominal swelling.  As I am typing this my abdomen is swollen due to the mold spore count outdoors.  I decided to run outside to day because of the temperature and it was a mistake.  After doing the cardio outdoors I've been swollen, itchy with a rash and very irritable.

Spore of mod are present in our environment and can grow in favorable medium. They grow in humidity and moisture in air. If the building is leaking water creating moisture in the rooms, molds can grow there. They cause skin rash, nasal stuffiness, eye irritation, wheezing etc. They don't cause abdominal swellings.
