I would take another home pregnancy test, and if that comes up positive, call the doctor asap. Also if you did start the meds. And it comes up positive, stop taking them. UTI's are common when you are pregnant, especially in the first trimester. If you are pregnant, there are other meds. That they can give you that are baby safe.

I have the exact same problem currently. Its a horribly terrifying feeling and I don't know what to do. I'm on birth control but I'm still late. Could I be pregnant or is it affected by my uti or my birth control?

I agree if you have a smell from you discharge and it is not a light vinegar smell close to the time you are about to have your cycle you have UTI you need to make an appointment with your doctor because if you don't things will get where and make the infection spread further up to your cervix you don't want that so get treated and hope you feel better soon!!!!

You need to make sure that you are pregnant first before you start the medicine, as some medicines can cause birth defects, go and see the doctor about this again, and have a test done there to make sure you are or aren't pregnant, and find out if you can take that medicine. Hope this helps, good luck to you.

UTI refers to a bacterial infection of the urinary tract. It is not a sign or symptom of pregnancy. It is just a fact that the chances of having UTI increases during pregnancy. Thus you might not be pregnant and still have UTI. Or you can have them both at the same time. The best way out would be to take a pregnancy test.

Uh negative uti's do not travel to your cervics . They don't even connect but it can lead to a kidney infection
