Endometriosis is an extremely painful condition which stops women from leading a normal life. Its main symptom is painful periods and the pain is at times absolutely unbearable. The condition causes the reproductive system to function completely abnormally. It generally gets worse as time goes on and it can cause the body's organs to eventually stick together.

The biggest problem with this condition is the pain usually associated with it. It gets worse as time goes on, and as mentioned, at times it becomes unbearable. Fertility problems are also experienced by many women with Endometriosis which is a devastating problem and which tends to add insult to injury.

Overall the condition is extremely common though people do not seem to have much knowledge of it. It is more common than breast cancer and Aids yet it is definitely lesser known. There is no cure for the condition and often pain relief does not work so the woman has to suffer in silence most of the time. It truly is a horrible condition which millions of women suffer form every year.
