Moisturizing creams made from aloe vera, cocoa butter, grape seed, squalene oil, vitmin E, collagen, pro-vitamin B5, germ oil, aroma oil or essential oil can help to prevent the formation of stretch marks.

One of the two causes that cause stretch marks is Pregnancy. The second cause is weight gain.

Stretch marks mostly occur on the breasts, hips and stomach in most women during pregnancy. They also occur on other areas such as the thighs when one gains weight. The stretch marks appear on the skin when the skin is stretched to the maximum. The stretching of the skin occurs when growth is so fast and rapid that the elastic fibers of your skin break. And although this cause is often rare, stretch marks can also be due to some hormonal problems, certain medications and some diseases.

The following a few effective home remedies to cure stretch marks.

• Drink a lot of water, because water helps in enhancing the elasticity of skin. Therefore it prevents the appearance of stretch marks. Water can serve as an extremely beneficial, effective and inexpensive stretch marks home remedy treatment.

• Consume a nutrient rich well-balanced diet, so that you will not put on extra weight. It is important to pay attention to the food you are eating, as weight gain is usually the most common cause for the appearance of stretch marks.

• Massaging the skin on which the stretch marks have either appeared or may appear, serves as an excellent home remedy for stretch marks removal. You can either of these: flaxseed oil, olive oil, cocoa butter, vitamin E oil or even cod liver oil for the purpose of a massage.

• Regular exercise can be very beneficial in keeping the body toned and preventing stretch marks.

• Apply cocoa butter on your stretch marks.

I believe a lot of people use a product called bio oil its not that cheap but you can get it from most pharmacies also with time the stretch marks will naturally fade and look more silver/white some people who really don't want them will opt for laser surgery but kind of a drastic measure and pointless if someone was planning more children at a later date

I have got really bad stretch marks and I am 7 months pregnant and using bio oil and cocoa butter, but they just seem to be getting worse every day, there are a lot of products in the shops these days for stretch marks but I recon the best stuff to use is bio oil because before I got pregnant I had stretch marks on my thighs and I used bio oil, and they faded really quickly.

Using cocoa butter on a daily basis does help. You did not mention how the stretch marks came about though. Was they due to weight gain or were they caused by pregnancy? Also, how old are the stretch marks? Newer stretch marks tend to respond to cocoa butter more than older stretch marks. Emu oil is also another stretch mark aid that works. The problem with these remedies is that they take a long time to work. There is an interesting article about how to get rid of stretch marks fast on that page. There are some useful pointers on that article that you could find useful too.

Massaging is the best way to get rid off stretch marks.. Since it helps the skin to improve and makes it glowing and attractive. Just have massage with the help of any small suction cup or have cellublue.

Use vitamin e oil, pure cocoa butter 100%. If you're pregnant, it is best to use it during pregnancy. Don't do it after having a child because you will have a hard time trying to get rid of them. It's possible, but it'll take some time.

For these please consult to your doctor, there are several creams available in the market.

You could try cocoa butter, or a&d ointment, even vitamin e. You have to cut the vitamin e open, and then rub that on your tummy. Hope this helps.

Rub cocoa butter on them every day. If it was me I would do it twice a day. You can buy that almost anywhere, in the lotions section of the store.

Bio oil helps a small amount but its 11.00 for the bottle and its not big at all. I'm currently using palmers coca butter massage lotion just for that but the key in making it any coca butter work is after a bath or shower don't dry off put the lotion directly on your body give it time to dry before you get dressed. I have used it for about a week and I have seen a big difference. Hope this answer helps.

Hi,

I used to have pretty bad stretch marks and red scars around my belly region ever since I gave birth to my three kids.I had tried Vitamin E oil and cocoa butter which a number of people had recommended but unfortunately it didn't seem to work too well. My Doctor had even suggested that I go for a Tummy Tuck. I then recently read an article about a lady who supposedly got rid of her stretch marks using a particular cream. I tried it and it worked really well. It took a number of weeks but my stretch marks soon faded away. You can read the lady's article at the link below.

Wear long shirts. Sorry couldn't resist.but seriously cocoa butter or vitamin e is supposed to work. I have some really bad facial scars and used  them years ago and they seemed to help. Poke a hole in the vitamin e capsules with a pin and squeeze it onto the marks and rub it in.Take care and hope it works, Mike.
