The pregnancy test is done by measuring the levels of human chorionic gonadotrophin hormone (HCG) in urine. The UTI does not disturb the the presence of HCG in urine. The pregnancy is also tested in blood by measuring beta HCG levels in blood which is more reliable than urine pregnancy test. So if you have UTI and are pregnant, you can be tested positive.

I had a miscarriage 7 months ago. My husband and I had a miscarriage. We just recently started trying again. I was suppose to start my period on Feb 19, it is now March 12 and I still have not started. I took two pregnancy test but they both came out negative. I just cannot understand why I have not started my period if I am not pregnant. It is frustrating and gives me false hope.
