I have had many of them and the only thing that hurts is your butt because you have to clean yourself out. And you don't feel a thing while they are doing it!!!!the procedure lasts about 20 minutes the longest thing is the waking up and that is it. Very simple. I have had them every 6 months because I only have 5 inches of my colon left so they need to keep checking it. Good luck!!!
I had a colonoscopy a bit over a year ago I felt nothing, can't remember how long it took though
God Bless you Rossi, for having to go through that every 6 months. You're so right, the only really awful thing is the cleaning out part. I also have a problem with the versed not working, so they have to give me 3, instead of 2 meds. I'm supposed to have one every 5 years, because my sister died of colon cancer. I'm now 3 years overdue.
Peggy, believe us, you won't feel or remember a thing. If you need extra meds, you tell them, and they'll give you what you need. You probably have to take the diuretic for the swelling in your feet and ankles. Shouldn't be a problem with the colonoscopy. I hope everything goes well for you.
