It depends upon your case.Your surgeon can tell you the better estimate time of recovery. As for my knowledge, I know many people who went off the bed after 2 days of surgery, within 3 months they started Gym and could touch their toes even with fusion of rods. So do not worry and consult your doctor about this issue who is going to perform your surgery.
Well dear! Most of the doctors suggest to start you activities just after 6
weeks to3 months. In this period you can practice bending, twisting and turning within your comfort zone. Now you have spent 5 to 6 months and now you can freely twist and bend and do not worry you can soon continue your other activities as well.

I am very much surprised that you are a cheerleader, basketball and volleyball player and having Scoliosis. Anyhow, usually this problem is congenital and surgery can be done to correct the spine. Prognosis depends upon its progression. If you have minor Scoliosis then you might resume all your activities but if your sine is curved very much forming S or C shape then after surgery I am doubtful about your activities.
