Wizz the drug, is a street name for the drug speed, which in itself is a street name for amphetamines.

Amphetamines are psychostimulant drugs of the phenethylamine class. Jargon aside, this means they produce increased focus and wakefulness in association with decreased appetite and fatigue.

Amphetamines can be found in low concentrations in many legal, counter top mediactions. Brand names of mediacations that contain or metabolize into, amphetamine include: Dexedrine, Desoxyn, Adderall, Dextrostat, Vyvanse, and ProCentre, as well as Benzedrine, although the recipe has since changed to not include this ingredient.
However, when talking in the recreational sense and in the case of 'wizz' or speed', concentrations are much, much higher. Their demand and potency has led to the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction reporting that the nominal cost of diluted amphetamine on the continent is between €3 and €14 (between $4 and $21.55 in the US) a gram. Street amphetamine is typically about 10% pure.

It's name is derived from its chemical name alpha-methyl phenethylamine.
