What Is The Cause Of An Elevated Diaphram?

I was just diagnosed with this today.
The doctor said that it is usually caused by a trauma to the torso.
She asked if I'd been in a car accident. Could also be hereditary.
I'm going to a CATscan to find out what's going on.
I've been reading some scary stuff.
