As with anything, everyone is different on how they handle pain. Labor is called that for a reason - it's labor - hard work and pain. Some want to be unmedicated as they bring a child into the world. Me - I just wanted the pain manageable. In the end, I ended up with a C-section because they losing the baby's heartbeat during contractions. It all worked out for me.
