I don't know if it is normal, but I am going through the same issue. I was sick & went to the doctor who gave me a steroid shot. I started a day late the week I should have started but everything else was normal then I just started today which is 13 days from the end of my last period.

Don't know if it's normal, but if it helps, I had a spinal injection just last week, (I have Degenerative Disc Disease), and a few days later I started my period again. I just finished my period the day before I had the injection done. I read somewhere online that it could be a possible side affect because apparently this shot can cause a hormonal changes and also weight gain. This would explain the mysterious 15 lbs I gained since my last shot, 2 months ago. I haven't changed the way I eat and I have been exercising more.

My husband thinks that the weight gain is from therapy. I have to do these weight machines 2 x's a week to strengthen up my core muscles. I building muscles, but I don't think I'm burning off the fat. And supposedly, muscle weighs more than fat. I don't know about all of this. This is purely speculation.

Hope this helps you.
