My mom is 5'4' and I think 110 - 125 is best. As long as you're not skinny fat. The scale is only a small part though, remember muscle weighs more than fat.
My whole life I've known my mother to be fat. And I didn't believe or think she could lose weight. But I believe now the only thing keeping her fat was being pregnant six times in a row. She takes losing weight the natural way. She eats when she's hungry. She doesn't ban herself from small indulgences and holidays. She doesn't even workout except for walking. She is just a busy mom who doesn't obsess about things that don't matter.
I think though that she is skinny at heart. She was a very skinny kid all the way into her twenty's until she discovered she was lactose intolerant. When she cut out dairy she gained a few healthy pounds and she had better digestion. Even when she became pregnant she's always tried to maintain a healthy weight. After each pregnancy she would lose the weight because it was natural to her.
Now that I understand more about my mother, I'm actually kind of jealous. She makes it seem easy to lose weight. She does lose weight slowly, but I think that's really healthy. She doesn't go on those fad diets. And she was right not to. I just think it's admirable how she doesn't stress about her body weight. Of course during pregnancies the stress and the hormones led to her gaining a lot of weight. In 2010 while she was pregnant she weighed 180 lbs. She is 5'4' and now weighs 135 I believe. Her goal is 120 she says; but once we were talking and she said she might try to get to 105-110. I think that's healthy as long as part of it's muscle. My vegan role model is 5'5' and 110-115lbs. But it Really surprised me as that's how much I weigh. And I'm 5'3'. Honestly I do wish to be 98-110 lbs. At the moment, but as an adult I think I'll aim for 110.
Really, way to go mom. I can't believe I'm jealous. Any ways my mom and me are super small boned so if you are our height you probably need a few extra pounds.
I’m a female and 26 years old. I weigh over 330 pounds which I gained during pregnancy. I’m broke and literally eat two hot dogs a day and nothing else.
