I am also taking Thyroxine every morning and finding that I am very tired about an hour or two after taking them. So much so that I often have a 20 min sleep! I also get a strange feeling like being drunk.. You don't lose coordination but can be strange, and just makes me need to sleep.
As I work around the country and need to travel, its not the best situation. I have decided to try taking my tablet in the evening. It is not generally advised as in some patients it can cause them to stay awake.. As I don't have this problem I hope I will sleep like a baby and get the benefit of thyroxine! Hope it helps to know you are not the only person to have this effect.
