There is not a regular weight a 12 year old should lift because what really matters is your height and size. Some people are naturally skinny for there height, if you are a person who is kind of slim for your height you shouldnt judge the amount of weight you use just on your height. Some people have more muscle than others and are naturally "strong".But no matter what height you have or if you are naturally more muscular, you should just lift what is comfortable for you.You should be able to lift that same weight about 10-15 times without having problems.Just experiment with different weights and find what is good for you.
It fine I started lifting when I was 10 and I was 4'9 and now I'm 12 and I'm 5'3 so there is nothing wrong with lifting just don't over due yourself
I lift like 100 2.5kgs a day and I'm 13
I don't think so. I mean dumbbells are fine, but the big dog things...nah I hear they stunt you growth.
I'm 11, turning 12 in less than a month, and I am lifting 10 pound dumbbells. I don't think kids under 15 should bench.
Heck yeah a 10 year old should lift weights I'm 10 and I lifting 20 pound weights
I'm 12 and I do bench I do 55pounds 12 times ive been doing weight for the past 2years and I'm the tallest kid in my class
You should do what feels best for you you should lift around 10-12 pounds of dumbbells and do situps when you get to be 13-15 you MUST DO 25-30 pounds of weight and you will be super strong but I'm 10 and I do 15 pounds of weight so.
Yes good idea to start health young 3 times week is enough
Yeah I'm 11 and I weight lift 3 times a week
