In my experience it slightly waries depending on how high your tolerance is. Here are some signs when you're under the influence: Pupils go smaller, feeling drowsy/nodding off, your voice sounds slightly croaky. Personally when I'm on it, I'm in a better mood, happier, I might do some chores etc I've been putting off doing ie I've got a burst of energy initially...Then feeling drowsy.
In the long run, the person might start losing their appetite and then losing weight, they might have a persistent cough ( if they smoke it ). For injecting users of course they might have track marks on their arms.
I'm wondering why you're asking - if its a friend maybe you can go ahead and ask them straight? With a family member it might be more difficult.. I wouldn't go around throwing accusations though.
