They say heroin is so addictive because of the high that they get from the opiates that are in heroin. Even used one time can make a person to crave more. Stay away from this drug. It will ruin your life because all you want to do in life is get this drug.

Heroin is a drug which is derived from an opiate and this is why it is so addictive. It effectively mimics the action of the chemicals in the brain which are mood enhancing (and natural pain killers). So if heroin is taken the body and the brain become addicted. When heroin is used over a long time, then the brain can stop producing endorphins and so if heroin use stops, the symptoms can involve cramps, tremors and even seizures, coma or death.
It is thought that heroin can become addictive even after a single dose. Long term use of heroin can lead to many social and health problems, including breakdown of relationships and brain tumours. Methadone is often used to treat heroin addiction, since it can replicate the effects of heroin and the dose administered can be gradually reduced. However, users can even become addicted to methadone, due to the fact that even this substance is so strong.

Heroin is an escape , a pain killer that kills the pain of life's every day problems. Once you start you can't stop. After the 4th day your body is tricked to believe that you need it to live. You physically will need it without it your body starts to shut down. ( stomach cramps, running nose, tearing eyes, diarrhea, bones ache, head ache, vomiting stomach acid, hot and cold sweats, sweating, hallucinations, crazy drug dreams, high blood pressure , high  heart rate) Those are the  symptoms you go through without heroin. Thats why a addict looks for more so they don't hurt. That's why they do anything to get heroin. If you were facing death isn't it your human instinct to save your self ? Well when withdrawing from heroin is close to death and addicts are using their human instincts to save their lives.

There comes a time in all our lives when we come to terms with our own mortality; we come to realise that some day we are going to really die. At this crucial point in life we dig deep in ourselves to except this as natural as birth. Some of us, for various reasons, don't have the ability to deal with this truth without a mental crutch. If people would learn why we are really here on this rock I think it would help so many people. Let God be that mental crutch. This is just my opinion. Good luck.

People on heroin are just cockroaches to society. Everybody is better off if they would just die on an over dose. These people are selfish and they made their choice and along with it hurt their family members. They don't even care about their kids. All that is important to them is the drug
