A fetus does begin making movements as early as 7 weeks. It is different when each woman feels her baby move for the first time though. The average is 18-20 weeks, although some women feel later such as 22 weeks (usually first time mothers) or some women feel earlier such as 16 weeks. I felt my daughter move at 14 weeks. The reason I know this is because I was having an ultrasound and saw my baby moving and correlated the sensations I was having in my lower abdomen with each movement the baby made- this was my first baby and such a cool feeling! I am also a large women so I don't think fat is an issue- it is the movement inside that you feel reverberating to the outside. I have also been on baby forums where women with subsequent pregnancies have stated they have felt the baby move as early as ten weeks.
It will depend on every pregnancy. In my case I am 21 weeks and I've felt some sensations, like sometimes something jump inside, or gas moving, but I don't really know if it's the baby, which makes me worried sometimes. But reading what all of the ones who have experience say here, then I guess that it is my little baby moving there.
God bless us!

A fetus begins spontaneous movements in about the 7th week of pregnancy, although the mother will not begin to feel the movements until around the 20th week if it is her first pregnancy.
About 22 weeks the mother feels the first flutters which gradually get stronger. First time mothers sometimes do not notice them as early as experienced mothers and fatter mothers are inclined to feel the movements later.
