I'm no doctor but I can share my own experience. I used to smoke like bob marley and never used protection and remained childless for years. Now I'm clean and sober for a while and have fathered 3 so you form your own conclusion

I think someone smoking weed does take a toll on getting pregnant! I have been trying to get pregnant for 3 years now! My fiance smokes  pot every day and the doctors say its 90 percent sure I'm not getting pregnant because he smokes. I know there is nothing wrong with me or him because we both have been checked. My best friends husband smoked pot for years and she never got pregnant when she wanted to then about 1 year after he stopped smoking she got pregnant and now she is 5 months pregnant and the baby is healthier then ever! So yes I think your not getting pregnant because he does smoke pot! (my opinion)

Yes, it can decrease your sperm count, drastically might I add. It can never make you sterile and the effects are never perminent. As for brain cells, they're totally fine. Marijuana does absolutely no harm to the brain or body. Cigarettes and alcohol are more dangerous than marijuana.

No, marijuana does not effect the DNA in his sperm, so your child will turn out the same as if your boyfriend didn't smoke at all. If you have read online that marijuana lowers sperm count, all of the articles refer to the same University Buffalo study that was EXTREMELY biased. In the study, 59 healthy men who didn't smoke pot were tested against 14 men who were said to smoke an average of 14 times a week for over five years. I know plenty of people who smoke pot, and I can say that many of them who smoke that much don't exercise often or eat very well. I wonder why those 14 men had low quality sperm? Oh, they smoke weed? That MUST be it.

Yes you can. Some test results have said that marijuana use reduces sperm counts in 'some' people but not for everyone. There is a chance that your boyfriend may be in this small number of people but the likelihood is very low. Best to use protection to be much more certain instead of taking the chance.

Absolutely yes, and it takes 30 days to get the product and by-products of the weed out of your system (or whomever's). So, if you are trying to get pregnant, stop smoking the ganja and try, try, try, after about 30 days. (I would only wait the 30 days to make sure there were no ill effects on the embryo from the pot. I don't think it causes problems, like hard drugs do, but why damage a possible living thing by selfishly continuing to smoke while trying to get pregnant? That goes for cigarettes too. It has been proven that smoking mothers lower their baby's IQ, and cause low birth weights).

Yes it does slow down the sperm count and it's harder for any girl to get pregnant if you or the girl is smoking weed

Yes, marijuana might affect sperm cells . But there's always that possibility of becoming pregnant . Plus not for nothing but why would you want to be pregnant off someone who smokes weed .. Weed takes away peoples ambitions .. Makes them become lazy and not want to do anything. And if your young enjoy life!!! You don't need babies at the moment , and if you want to become a mother pick the correct father someone who's healthy so your baby can be healthy to .

Thats is not true my boyfriend has been smoking day after day blunts after blunts since he was 13 and he is now 18. And i thought that i would never get pregnant because he smokes so much and for so long so he would ejacilate inside of me everytime we had sex and i just recently found out i was pregnant. So it just takes time. Don't think you can't because anything is poosible as you can see with me.

Well there is nothing to worry about. You can get easily pregnant even you boyfriend is addicted with weed. However you should better be away from him in pregnancy as this weed can make your boyfriend tired and sluggish all day.

Yes, And realise there is a good chance after you have a baby that he will continue drinking just like he is now or more.

Yes you can get pregnant even though he smokes but ask yourself do you really want to bring a baby into this world with a guy that uses drugs??? He's not going to stop smoking after the baby comes think about the baby's future maybe you may want to wait a few years I know its not my business I just seen too many woman have kids with the wrong guy and then be stuck alone to raise the child with no help

This is pretty judgmental, plenty of great people smoke weed. My boyfriend and I smoke weed, and he is not a dead beat, he is a wonderful father. Marijuana is not a drug, it comes from nature for us to benefit from. Antidepressants and other things doctors prescribe are drugs. Would you judge him for taking those.

My fertility doctor told me that it does - may be one of the many reasons we needed a fertility doctor.  We did conceive, but my daughter, who is turning 10  has had problems since birth.  I blame the pot smoking of my ex-husband.  She has severe food, plant and animal allergies and now has developed high Anti Nuclear Antibodies (ANAs) - a precursor to Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis and other bad things. In hindsight, I should have insisted he be off any drugs or alcohol, but he probably wouldn't have listened anyway.

Yes it could not to mention possibly sterile. Its easy to get checked good thing he stopped or there would be other issues like losing brain cells. Health problems etc.
