There are several things that could be making your boobs itch!

Growth
If your boobs are growing, or if you’re pregnant, it’s perfectly normal for your breasts to itch. They might feel a bit tender, too.

There’s not much you can do to stop the itching in this case, but you can prevent stretch-marks by keeping your boobs well-moisturized!

Some women also report getting itchy and tender boobs when they have their period.

Skin Allergies
Have you recently changed your soap, shower gel or washing detergent? If so, you may be having a mild allergic reaction to the new product.

A new bra could also be causing your breasts to itch - try washing it, and wearing something else in the meantime.

Sweating
Your boobs can get pretty hot and sweaty in summer, especially if they’re quite large. This can make you feel itchy - if you’ve ever felt sweat cooling on you after an intense work-out, you’ll know how irritating this can be!

Naturally, the best remedy for this problem is a nice shower. Make sure you change into clean clothes afterwards, though!

Hair Down Your Bra
This is one reason I hate getting my hair cut - it’s impossible to avoid getting bits of hair down your bra, even if you’re wearing a gown over your clothes! Take a shower and brush your clothes out, and the itching should stop.

Scientifically, itchy breasts can be due to a contact allergy. The allergen could be soap, a new bra, dress, towel, neck-chain, etc.

Anti-allergy medicines, topical steroids and removal of allergen can help to get rid of this itching. All other stories about breast itching are old wives tales.
