COLD water. Scrub with a towel that has been soaked in cold water. It has to be cold or you will stain your furniture. Use mild soap after the cold water has removed all the blood. Avoid hydrogen peroxide or hot water, as they will denature the proteins of the blood and cause permanent damage.
