There are many species of HPV and out of them 30-40 are STD. Few of
these sexually transmitted HPV are high risk because these can cause
cervical cancer. HPV can cause genital warts. HPV is transferred by
skin to skin contact during sex or rubbing of skin on the affected area
without sex. The HPV is not transmitted to fetus in mother's womb but
can be transmitted during birth. Treatment by medicines is not allowed during
pregnancy. To avoid transmission in the baby, doctors recommend
C-section.
