There is no time period for the start of your normal periods after dilation and curettage. Spotting and mild bleeding with cramps are expected for few days following D & C. Some ladies can get their periods as early as 1-2 weeks after the procedure and some after 4-6 weeks. If periods don't start after 8 weeks of the D & C then it requires medical attention. So, if you got periods after cessation of early bleeding of D & C then it is normal.
I had a d&c exactly one month ago and I still have yet to see my period. Hubby and I did the BD once since the d and c but still no period. Could I be pregnant? When I went in last week to see the doctor, my levels were 0.7 so I still don't have a period. Advice please...someone!
I had a D & C 8 days ago and today I have very bad cramps and am now bleeding, I think I have started my period. But I thought it would be far too soon after d&c ?
It's April 7th, 2011. I had a missed miscarrage at 11 weeks (March 26th 2011) and decited that a D & C was the right way to handle this. I'm 28 I have a beautiful 9 yr daughter. This was second time being pregnant, I was beyond excited! Went for my second you/s at 11 weeks and the yolk sac was empty, I had full on pregnancy symptoms but no growing baby. Anyways, I had the D&C on the 28th and today less then 2 weeks later I have a full period, which this would be my normal time to start - post second pregnancy. Normal?? I hope so!! My OB said it's normal to start your period around the same time as before.
