How Long After My Miscarriage Does My Period Start?

HI,

it says that after miscarriage , the normal period start around 4-6 weeks.how can we count these 4-6 weeks?. I mean from which day we have to start the counting for these weeks.I had a miscarriage on march 20th 2009 & I start my periods yesterday, april 14th 2009.Is it normal or what?.

It all depends on your HCG levels after you miscarry and how/at what stage you miscarry. Everyone is different. When HCG levels are below 5 doctors say that your normal cycle will usually resume quite quickly. (Obviously the length of a menstrual cycle varies for every woman any way).

I miscarried at 6weeks on the 22nd March 2009, my HCG levels were down to 1 by the 30th March. We're now on the 27th April (36 days since bleeding began). My cycles are usually every 5 weeks and so I'm expecting my period or a positive pregnancy test (we started trying to conceive straight away) about 5 weeks from 30th March or so. I.e 3rd May 2009 - Fingers crossed!

If your waiting more than 6 weeks for your period, ask your Dr for a blood test to check HCG levels are down to less than 5 or do a pregnancy test if you think you might be pregnant. Xx

I had my fourth miscarriage 3 weeks ago and then yesterday I got my period as I thought but it only lasted half a day, is this normal

What if you have a period but it only lasts for 2 days in may? I had my miscarriage on March 13th, 2009

I had my miscarriage occur on August 10th. I started spotting the end of July and then the tissue passed on the 10th and 11th of August. The bleeding then lasted for about another week. I still haven't had my period. The only signs of a period that I have had was on Sunday, August 29th I had some slightly pink cervical mucus. Since then my breasts have been sore and becoming a tad bit larger. I took a test on Tuesday to see if I was pregnant and it came back negative. Do you think that this could be implantation spotting that I had on Sunday? I have been expectin my period everyday since and there is no sing of it.

Hi, I had a miscarriage on March 6th and still no period!!! Is it going to start soon? Today is April 16th, 2009

I had a D&C on Feb 23, 2009and still haven't had my period. Today is April 19th and I'm going to make a Dr. Appointment tomorrow.

If you miscarry can there be 2 days of bleeding only

I had miscarriage started with spotting for a week then bled very heavy with clotting and finally at the end of two weeks passed the fetus which was the size of a walnut then I started bleeding like a normal period it got lighter then I started bleeding like I was having a period could I have a period that soon after a miscarriage

Normally it should be normal the next month or it can be 6 weeks.If you have not got it within 6 weeks of having a miscarriage speak to your doctor.
