Apple cider vinegar is quite popular in alternative medicine at the moment - it’s been used for centuries, and is thought to help with weight-loss, circulation problems and liver detoxification.
However, there’s no proof that it actually works - it’s one of those things that are sold at quite a high price in health stores, because people like to think that it helps.
Additionally, apple cider vinegar quite often has a placebo effect, which means that people "feel" that their health improves because they're expecting it to, even though the medicine isn't actually helping in reality.
Seeing as there haven’t been any conclusive studies that prove the effectiveness of apple cider vinegar at liver detoxification, you’re probably better off saving your money.
What Can I Do To Flush EtG Out Of My Liver?
EtG, or ethyl glucuronide, is an alcohol metabolyte that forms in the body when alcohol is consumed. If you’re tested for alcohol use, it’s usually EtG that the test is looking for.
Unfortunately, there’s no sure-fire way of getting it all out your system - it all depends on when you had a drink, how much you had, and your size and health.
However, there are a few things you can do that might help:

However, there are a few things you can do that might help:
- Drink water. If you want to flush the EtG from your liver, this is your best bet.
- Milk thistle. You can buy milk thistle supplement at most health stores, and it’ll probably do more good than apple cider vinegar will.
- Vitamins. Strong vitamin supplements - Berocca, or generic-brand fizzy vitamin tablets, are probably the best. They work quickly, and they’re packed with all the vitamins you’ll need to detox your liver (B-vitamins are the best for this).
- Antioxidants. Fruit and veg are full of these. Drink fruit juice, eat lots of green vegetables, and drink green tea (this hydrates you as well, so you get two benefits in one).
