The best thing to use is Clove oil. Mix 1/4 teaspoon olive oil with 2-6 drops of clove oil and apply yo the tooth and surrounding area. It will numb everything it touches so keep it off you tongue unless you enjoy numb tongue.. You can also saturate a piece of gauze or cotton ball and let it rest near the area. The olive oil is to dilute the clove oil nothing more.

You can take painkillers paracetamol or ibuprofen. It is safe to use both of them together, as long as you are not asthmatic. If you are not asthmatic or if you suffer from stomach problems, you can take the ibuprofen with or after food. You can also apply clove oil to the affected area. If the symptoms persist and the painkillers do not help, seek the help of a qualified dentist.

Toothaches should never be ignored. This pain can be a dangerous problem. If we take a pain killer for toothache, we are actually ignoring the problem by just getting relief. For toothaches, we must know the actual cause of this pain and see a dentist. The cause can be a piece of food remaining between our teeth, causing pain and irritation. In this case, a simple act of brushing can be helpful. Some of the other causes can be cavity problems, pulpitis or a dead tooth. Check with your dentist if the ache is serious.

Toothache is said to be one of the sorest and most distracting pain and discomfort you can be in. The nerves of your teeth are very sensitive and if damaged can cause a lot of pain.

To be honest, the best cure for toothache is going to see your dentist. I know that a lot of people have a fear of dentists or feel very uncomfortable but it is so much better than suffering this pain. It will not go away on its own.

The dentist is probably going to be able to diagnose and treat the problem straight away. They normally have spaces for emergency appointments in the morning and the afternoon.

In the meantime the best you can do is to take a painkiller or anti-inflammatory. You might also consider getting a teething gel to help numb the area. Placing a fresh clove on the affected area also works well.

I remember my toothache, It woke me up out of my sleep,I was taking aspirin and all kind of pain relievers, the problem was that the tooth was infected. If you taken aspirin more than 3 times its a probability that its infected and it only gets worst when neglected. So make a dentist appointment to be prescribed antibiotics to moderate the pain. Then there's a possibility to get it pulled or saved. Good Luck.

I usually use apple cider vinegar because of the strong antibacterial of apple cider vinegar that makes it perfect to become one of the best home remedies for toothache. Its acidity can eradicate the bacteria leading to toothache.

How to apply:

  • Use a cotton ball to soak in apple cider vinegar.
  • It should be applied over painful teeth.
  • After several minutes, remove it and gargle with warm water.

You can try what I did when my tooth ached and my dentist appointment would be three days later. I would get a tissue and fold into a ball and bite on it! The tissue should be soft so it eases the pain!
