I had mine out 5 days ago. Here's my advice: Get up and walk! Your abdomen will be distended from the gas they use to inflate it. Walking is a great help in "getting the gas out" if you know what I mean. Also, eat a few prunes throughout the day for a few days. It will be difficult for you to go to the bathroom because of the abdominal pain so the prunes will help make the "ride" easier. As for food...eat what you want and see what happens. I haven't left anything out of my diet...it's trial and error. I learned that coffee and taco salad is NOT a good combination. But this maybe a problem even if I had my gallbladder. Good luck.

For about 3 wks. After the removal of the gallbladder a soft diet is best. Nothing with fat, like pork, steak or bacon, etc. After 3 to 4 wks. You can eat anything you want and you'll never suffer the pain again. Lucky you.

That's not true, it is highly recommended that you don't eat fast food or fried foods
