Depends on your build, i would say its quit slim,i am 5ft 3ins and 24ins,and i am around medium,so wish i was taller tho.

I don't know that there are any 'normals' in the area of waist size. All the charts seem to go by height vs weight. So if you're in the right weight area for your height then, I would say, that's all that matters.
