Do cardio at least 3 - 5 times per week and eat smaller meal portions (not junk) every 2.5 - 3 hrs to keep your metabolism working. There are other methods as well but these are some basics just to get your started. I urge you to continue doing ongoing research on the subject to find out what works best for you. With weight loss techniques, everything does not always work the same for every 'body'.

If you want to lose weight and get fit there are a number of things you could try to get you into shape.

The trick is to focus on the things that well definitely end up making you look and feel great, so no short term fixes or extreme dieting!

Exercise

Exercise is an extremely effective method of losing weight and can leave you fit and healthy combined with a good diet. There are a variety of exercise forms from sport to dance or even aerobics. It is always important to consult a doctor if you are unsure what exercise is suitable for your body, or if you have any other medical condition where certain exercises may not be suitable.

Healthy Diet

Following a healthy diet which contains a balance of fruits and vegetables and less fatty fast food can help you to lose weight. 

Fish is an extremely healthy food to eat as are green vegetables.  

If you combine exercise with a healthy diet you can not only lose weight but you will also begin to feel fitter and healthier. As with exercise there may be some medical conditions where dieting may not be suitable and therefore you may want to discuss this with your medical practitioner to assist you with your food choices.

Drink lots of water

Water can help to drain out waste form the body and keeps you hydrated. Drinking water throughout the day can help you to feel refreshed and ensure that you do not feel like over snacking between meals. 

Water can also keep you feeling fuller for longer so a glass of water after a meal can help you in dealing with hunger pangs. Water is also great for the skin and can leave your skin glowing and healthy.
