A lipid panel is used to show cholesterol levels (good and bad) You need to fast for 12 hours prior to the blood test. I don't think this particular test would show "drugs" in the body. Toxicology tests for drugs are done using urine, saliva,breath and even hair samples. Blood is used occasionally but it's not the norm.
