How strong are the Oxycodone 512 tablets?

Oxycodone 512 tablets are a generic form of Percocet, a narcotic pain reliever (analgesic), and it contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 5mgs of Oxycodone hydrochloride (hydrocodone).

The medicine is usually prescribed for the relief of chronic pain in limited circumstances and should be used with caution, as abuse can lead to psychological and physical addiction.

Oxycodone, a prescription medicine, is used to alleviate moderate to severe pain from surgery, an injury, or an illness like arthritis or cancer. It is an opioid (related to morphine and codeine) and changes the way the body feels pain by attaching to receptors in the brain, spinal cord and digestive system but has the effect of depressing breathing, causing constipation, itching, red eyes, flushing and sweating.

As mentioned earlier, like many other opiates, Oxycodone 512 can be addictive so it would be wise to stick to the recommended dosage and stop taking the drug for extended periods.

Some side effects can be serious. If you experience any of these symptoms, call your doctor immediately:

  • Fast or slow heartbeat
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Slowed breathing
  • Hives
  • Rash
  • Swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs.
  • Hoarseness
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Hallucinating (seeing things or hearing voices that do not exist)
  • Seizures.
  • Confusion.
  • Fainting
  • Dizziness
  • Loss of consciousness.

If it is a white round pill with 512 on one side, and a score mark on the other side, that is 5 mg of oxycodone, and 325 mg of acetaminophen. It is a generic form of the brand name drug, percocet.

I took two for pain because I had new wire put in to my braces, so I took two at about 7:20 pm and in 25 min I was starting to get dizzy a bit, pain was gone, and even later got more dizzy but it did its job. I'd say its a good med. I don't have much experience on painkillers but this one is a strong one.

512 are a reasonable pain reliever for mild/moderate pain. They are stronger than Vicodin and better because they have less acepta than Vicodin. If you don't use them regularly, one or two should do the trick. They may make you itch and if a new user, you may get a bit nauseous.

How strong is oxycodone 512?

I have arthritis and have had both knees replaced, so I am in chronic pain especially when the weather changes. My doctor gave me these and I have been taking them only at night because they make me very tired. As for the pain it is not gone, but is much more manageable during the day.

These pills can become addictive, at least you can become dependant on them, so it is best to use them as prescribed and only until your pain is manageable with simple ibuprofen.

As far as other routes of administration, you are right, however unless you are addicted these other ways are not normal for pain relief. You can do whatever you want, have fun, but be careful! Hopefully you will realize they are not worth the long term effects after continued use.

It depends on if you take them on a daily basis. Everybody's body is diferent. If you don't take them you could take one and get high. But if you take them everyday it could take more than that to get you high. You body builds a tolerance to them so there is no set answer on how much it takes to get high off of them It all depends on your body.

I was prescribed oxycodone 512s after having ACL reconstructive surgery, and found them to be very helpful in eliminating the pain. However, as my pain decreased, I felt the negative sight effects of the drug increase. This makes me feel like in extreme pain oxys are great, but after the pain is gone they shouldn't be consumed.

Oxycodone 512's are 5mg Ocycodone, and 325mg acephetimine. I took three last weekend and had the time of my life. I took down 3 with a full glass of water and started reading my book, then like 25 mins later I started feeling kinda good. About 5 mins after that I got sweaty and dizzy, but It felt good I wasn't naucious.

Then about 10 minutes later I was just laying in bed, happy as a clam. All I had to do was lay down and stare up at the ceiling or close my eyes with the lights off and I had a blast! So I'd say if you weigh about 110 pounds then 3 isn't going to kill you.

Well, my friend took two on an empty stomach and must of had an allergy to the opium or something. She gagged really loud and almost puked. So if you don't know how you react to opium, use cation.

That's a very strong pain killer for patients with terminal illness.

Be carefull if you're trying to get high with that prescribed medication you may interfere with your regular nervous system routine and you may develop learning disabilities in a short period of time.

You may kill a lot of your neurons, the brain's cells, this ones are not reproductive anymore.
Means: You may end it up with a low IQ for life.
