There are things that having a watery period could mean, but you should really go and see a doctor who will be able to use their knowledge to get to the cause of the problem.

It could mean that you are pregnant and it may be worth taking a pregnancy test if you recently had unprotected sex.  If the watery discharge during your period is thin and silky during the ovulation period, due to the hormones and shedding skin in your vagina, it is likely that you are pregnant.

However, if you do not think you are pregnant medical research has showed that all women experience some form of vaginal discharge during their life. This is because the cervix produces a range of secretions which are largely in response to hormones and stimuli.

It could also be the result of an infection in the vaginal region as these can cause a coloured watery discharge during your period. If you want to eliminate this problem and you are not trying to fall pregnant you should try the Mirena IUCD, which should dry up the watery discharge and will hardly affect your blood pressure. If you are planning on getting pregnant you can ask your doctor to check your prolactin levels - if they are high they are likely to give you Paroldel to solve this infection.

Another reason for a watery period could be a result of a foreign object that has been left in the vagina. The cervix will produce a fluid if the woman has forgotten to remove their tampon or has inserted foreign objects into the vagina.

If period is watery, I call this a nice clean period, the heavier it is is often due to blood taking longer to come out, and is thicker and may have what appears to be cloths in it. You are just having a light cycle right now. Lucky you, you wouldn't want those horrible heavy ones when you are peri-menaupausal. They are awful - take care, and don't be too concerned.

I took plan B about a week ago and my period came on time but it's just like yours. Watery and pink. Maybe it's a change in the hormone levels? That's really the only think I can think of.

I took plan B birth control after unprotected sex, I am also really anemic, so this is what happened for me to get this problem. Very heavy pink fluid, a few clots, and minimal-light period blood.
I am changing pads within 1 hour from the wet of it. Terrible.
Good luck
