It could be due to your diet or stress

You might just have a longer cycle.  Most people have a 28 day cycle but it can be longer and that would be normal.  If there is a change in your period in how long it lasts or how heavy it is then see a doctor or go to planned parenthood.  They can put you on birthcontrol or something else that can help regulate your cycle.  It does sound like you are ok though and that you just have some cycles that are longer than others.  So I would not worry unless you are still worried then go see a Doctor.  I am a medical assistant, so I hope this helps out a bit.  Good luck and take care.

For people with a longer cycle , if you also suffer from acne, high insulin levels, allergies, facial hair ,and  have typical  male growth hair patterns  down your navel (snail trail),and also gain weight easily (there are more symptoms but you don't have to suffer from all of them. You could have Poly cystic ovarian syndrome. Ask your GP to test you for it via a blood test .

I am 17 and I didn't get my period for like 3 months .... I was really worried. As soon as I was about to go to the doctor it came. Then the next month I didn't get it on time again, so I was wondering if the samething was happening all over again. But thankfully, it was just a few days late. That is NORMAL right?
