Black people have tougher hair and curly and tend to have ingrown hair more than other color skin. A good thing to do for bumps and ingrowns is to use a loofah and exfoliate with it. That will help open up the bumps and some may be ingrown hairs and you can then tweeze any that comes out of the bumps. Do this several times a wk when bathing or showering. Also before shaving. You didn't say what area you are shaving but did you ever think of waxing? Your hair will eventually get thinner and more dense as it grows in ..but still need to exfoliate. Hope this helps.
