I agree with Nanat because I have had this problem. My problem was with the heart. After
fixing the heart a special diet was in order, a very low sodium diet. Salt helps you retain
water so eliminating things like processed foods, pizza etc. Is a good start. Lasix a pill
to eliminate fluid retention might be prescribed along with special TED hosiery. This hosiery
has a graduated compression so that they are tightest on the feet and gradually are
less tight at the top. This allows them to squeeze the fluid out of the leg.
So see the doctor, keep the feet up, cut out salt, wear the sox.

The physician will tell you to keep your feet and legs elevated as much as possible to help with the swelling. He would probably also prescribe a water pill which would cause you to urinate to get rid of some of the excess water. The big question is why are you retaining water? That is something that needs to be explored. The causes can vary from kidney or bladder problems to congestive heart failure. The cause of your problems need to be discovered so that they can be treated. If I were you, I would schedule an appointment with my doctor.

You can increase your consumption of vitamin B1, either in whole grain cereals (porridge is best) or by way of a supplement. I assure you B1 will help get rid of your problem, try on a daily basis over a period of 3 to 4 weeks.
